About
Us

Our energy is born to move the world. To promote balance. To turn green to green. We are part of a movement: sustainable development. As pellet producers from plant biomass, we are building a new gift for a better future.

Our mission is to create sustainable and economical supply chains and to investigate energy solutions in biomass that contribute to global environmental preservation. With this commitment, we manufacture renewable biofuel capable of reducing CO2 emissions, generated from the forest from forest biomass residues and non-polluting wood industry waste. We contribute to a doubly relevant role in the defense and enhancement of the environment.

And, as well as in an ecosystem where each element has its function and importance, we have specialists committed to our values of environmental preservation and professionalism, and high technology, to guarantee the most rigorous quality certifications.

We are AtGreen, innovative by nature.

Installations

Our production unit is located in the industrial center of Guarda, in Portugal, where one of the largest pellet production facilities in Europe is consolidated. In partnership with leaders in the energy sector, the project, in addition to having the capacity to supply national and international biofuel needs, also fosters economic growth by generating jobs and activities that accelerate the development of the region.

Sustainability

The world we live in is only one. And everything we do with it today, directly impacts tomorrow. This is what sustainability is based on: using natural resources consciously; to preserve the ability of the environment to serve this generation and future generations; and to seek alternatives oriented to collective well-being.

Since 1972, the year in which the concept of “sustainability” was established during the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Sweden, countries have committed themselves to various initiatives to promote the sustainable development of humanity. Portugal has been standing out in this scenario.

Portugal has been standing out in this scenario. According to the report made by independent scientists to the UN, in 2019, Portugal is among the 30 most sustainable countries.
Together, on the
same path
In addition, Lisbon received the title of European Green Capital 2020, when it passed the evaluation on 12 indicators related to sustainability in the city.

The commitment to sustainable development, in its various developments, is increasingly evident today: from water savings to more conscious consumption. From attitudes at home to innovations in companies and industries.

We, at AtGreen, joined this movement. In addition to our products, we believe that the true meaning of sustainable development is built from the inside out. For this reason, we are under constant surveillance to reduce the environmental impact, looking at the entire chain, always with actions guided by the prosperity of employees and the community. We call this life cycle.

A cycle that connects us with our mission
and our purpose
  • Use as many streams of forest biomass residues as possible, such as small branches, leaves, and roots;
  • Significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the supply chain;
  • Contribute to local prosperity in the area of supply chain management and biomass production;
  • Contribute to the social well-being of employees and the local population in the area of our industrial unit;
  • Reduce and minimize the ecological footprint of the production process, observing all stages of the production chain, from the removal of forest residues to the biomass treatment and transport process destined for the end user.
